About me

August 26, 2008

I am studying a Grad Dip in Media and Communications at Swinburne.

I grew up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I studied a Bachelor of Arts in the late 90s first studying at La Trobe Bendigo and then transferring to Monash. After finishing University, I worked for a state MP before landing a job in Canberra in 2001 working for a government departments as policy analyst.

In early 2008, I decided to pack my bags and head back to Melbourne, to be with friends and family as I wanted  a career change. I have long had an interest in political studies as well as international relations and would like one day to work in this field in the media.

I don’t have much to offer in the way of already established skills in media and digital content. Pretty much a novice. What I do have is research and analysis skills which I acquired during my time in Canberra. I want to build up creative writing skills, as well as learning skills and techniques to produce online content.
